REGISTER FOR THE NIGER DELTA STUDENT CONFERENCE (PNSC)






Description : The Niger Delta Student Union Government (NIDSUG) which is the umbrella body of all Niger Delta Students, in Collaboration with other ethnic nationality student Unions in the region is organizing a Pan NIGER DELTA STUDENT CONFERENCE (PNSC) as a non partisan forum to examine the current socio-economic, political and environmental conditions of the Niger Delta in view of the escalating crisis of the region and in extension the Nigerian State.

Theme :  RESOURCE,  JUSTICE & SECURITY: EXPLORING WAYS TO PEACE IN THE NIGER DELTA.


 The PNSC will serve as another frame work for sharing of views and development of pro-people and pan-communal analysis on the crisis of the Niger Delta in the Nigeria State.
The PNSC will be an open medium for participants to re-articulate our demands and examine the potentials of the Federal Government Peace Dialogue as a frame work for the resolution of the contradictions between Niger Delta people and the Nigeria State.
The meeting will develop a set of recommendations for the Niger Delta people and the Nigerian Government with respect to the need for true federalism, resource control, environmental justice, roles/operations of international oil companies (I.O.C), passage of the petroleum industry bill (P.I.B) and good governance.
