FEAR GRIPS IMSU AS FINAL YEAR STUDENT WAS SHOT DEAD BY CULTISTS, ANOTHER SUSTAINS GUNSHOT WOUNDS.



It is a Sad news reaching us  from Imo state University, Owerri, IMSU, has it that a final year student of the citadel of learning has been murdered in a cold blood by yet to be identified gunmen, suspected to be cultists.

The dead who was identified as Ibekwe Obrien,was a final year student who was doing his clearance in school before he was gunned down at the IMSU extension front gate area of the campus.

We also learnt that the second student, who goes by the name 'TRIPLE', was shot at the back gate area of the Campus, though he sustained gun shot injuries, but was reported to still be alive at the time of filing this report.

Source who said that the killing was cult related, disclosed that pandemonium has gripped the area,and communicated that academic and administrative activities in the school have been halted, as students and staff of IMSU scamper for safety and have been leaving the school campus in droves.

When contacted, the police Public Relations Officers, PPRO, in the state, Mr Andrew Enwerem, a Deputy Superintendent of police, DSP, said that his office has been briefed on the incident but disclosed that the police has moved into action as investigation to unravel the circumstances is ongoing while manhunt for the killers are intensified.
