The FCT Spelling Bee Competition 2016
The FCT Spelling Bee Competition is a literacy program which teaches students the effective pronunciation of words, their meaning and proper context of usage in English Language. The competition which is hosted annually by Decipher Solutions creates a platform for students from diverse backgrounds across the FCT including public and private schools to engage and compete fairly in order to emerge as winners of the competition.
The 4 Edition of the FCT Spelling Bee Competition sponsored by Nigeria’s premier soft drink brand, Fanta is targeted to students in Junior Secondary Schools within the FCT and is designed to help students in different secondary schools improve their spelling capabilities, increase the range of their vocabulary, boost correct usage of the English Language by encouraging conscious efforts in learning words with a suitable improvement in other aspects of English Language (e.g. Comprehension) and promoting the reading culture.
Winners from the competition will win amazing prizes.
Date: Saturday, June 18 , 2016
Time: 9.00am

ELIGIBILITY…
1. Students MUST attend a secondary school located within the FCT.
2. A maximum of 3 students are allowed to participate from the same school.
3. All students MUST be in the Junior Secondary classes (JSS1 – JSS3) in any of the FCT Area Councils which include:
Abuja Municipal Area Council (AMAC)
Abaji Area Council
Bwari Area Council
Kuje Area Council
Kwali Area Council
Gwagwalada Area Council
4. All students must be in the classes of J.S.S. 1 – 3. All other students are not eligible for participation
How to participate
Visit :http://fctbee.com.ng/ to register and download the rules and study material for the competition. Parents and teachers can nominate their children or students and after registration, they will receive a notification confirming their Competition details.
